It might. However IWC makes a number of Aquatimer Watches, so it depends on the movement inside the watch, turn the watch over
look for one of the numbers listed below.
The IWC 30110,
the IWC 80111,
and finally
the IWC 89360
will wind with any and all Orbita Winders including the BOLD. Since
these Aquatimer movements wind in both directions and need only about 800 turns per day 400 each way or
800 either direction will keep the 3 of these Aquatimer movements running.

However the Chronographs will not work with the BOLD. The Movements that we are talking about are
the IWC 79320 and IWC 79470 both wind in only the CLOCK WISE direction and need 800 turns so the BOLD
will only wind it half the number of turns clock wise and the watch will stop.
From: Tom Date: Mon, 10 Sep 2012

While I have an Orbita 4-watch winder, my son-in-law is looking
for a 1-watch winder for his first automatic watch. We were considering
the Eilux 1466 or 1388 as a starter winder, although I see it is not
fully programmable so I worried about over winding his Tissot,
which my research says needs 650 Turns Per Day. Should we get the affordable
Eilux Winder or should we just let it sit and wind it as needed?

Answer:
Dear Tom,

Over winding is a popular conversation with winders.
Rest assured none of the products we sell will ever damage any automatic watch.
I can not speak for other products on the market sold elsewhere or at unauthorized retail sites. We refuse to sell junk.
Eilux is a great winder maker. You can not go wrong putting the Tissot in the little 1466 Leather Lux Model Shown here.

Some people argue Orbita is better, however the difference is marginal.
If price is
not a determining factor, go with the fully programmable Orbita models.

Do not worry about the Eilux Winder over winding that watch,

(a few watches this matters with more than others),
most watches have an anti slip mechanism to prevent over winding while being worn.
But the watch does not know if you are wearing it or if it is inside a winder,
it works the same and prevents over winding.
You can easily turn the watch double or triple the minimum TPD setting without issue.
Just you do not ever buy a winder that works 24x7.

The rest period is important. The program-ability for turns
per day is less an issue than the industry would have you know...The Cheaper Eilux
winder will serve you well...Over winding is not an issue with
modern watches since they all have the anti slip mechanisms to prevent
overwinding, and when you wear the watch you probably turn it 5,000
times or so a day. Under winding is more of an issue, some people say it will
damage your watch and a good watch winder will prevent this.
Plus many people do over wind their watches when winding them by hand.
For some reason they just turn that dial over and over and over,
instead of the 40 or less most manufacturers recommend and
pop! They over wind and break the winder stem. Kaching! $600 repair bill!
So do not let it sit getting dusty and put the winding stem at risk
every time he needs to wind it to wear it.
Get your son's Tissot into a winder, and the Eilux is a decent choice
if that is all he can afford at this juncture. Why not help him out though and buy
it for him as a gift!

Answer:

Please take a picture of the back of your Buben watch winder. Make sure it shows the
words and the adapter plug in hole. They usually ask for this for older Buben
models. I suspect we can get one. Be warned they are really expensive! Like
maybe $100? Part is due to importing and currency differences and part is because
they over charge for their adapters.
Did you buy the unit from us? (I do not recall ever selling that name
unit). If so we can discount the item from retail. If not we will have to
charge standard retail. Thanks for the picture in advance.
Have a nice evening.
Customer Comments:

"After reading the customer satisfaction notes, I am worried that I did not order the accessory pillow for the Wolf Designs Winder I just purchased from you. I am using this for a women's rolex watch and it sounds like the pillow that comes with this is going to be too large. If you need to add this smaller pillow to my order I hope that you can. Thank you so much. I will try to call in tomorrow, during business hours; to talk to someone about this.
Thank you so much,
Barbara in Lakeland Florida. "

Answer:
The Wolf Designs Winders come with a standard sized compressable watch holder that we feel is a bit on the large size even for an average sized man. Therefore as a bonus to our customers we offer with initial purchase to include the smaller watch holder pillows for only a small shipping and handling fee, the "pillows" must ship separately from the winder. Should you need the smaller pillows at a later date we are glad to sell them to you at their normal retail price. We are happy to include the pillows with your order however and thank you for the note.

Which is the best watch winder for a Jaeger LeCoultre AMVOX 5 automatic watch? Many thanks. Willi
Answer:

Nice watch! You need a fully programmable winder, I would suggest one of these:

The Siena 1 fully programmable winder: Most programmable of the bunch.
URL: http://www.watchcases.com/orbita-watch-winder-siena-1.html

The Privee, has super long life lithium batteries and is programmable.
URL: http://www.watchcases.com/mirage-watch-winder.html

The Wolf Designs, a nice compromise of price and winding ability.
I have a Patek Worldtimer 5110', Breguet perpetual, Hublot big bang and a Lange and Sohne 1, I need a good watchinder....nothing fancy or showy. Which one would you recommend?

Answer:

Anil,
Thanks for the question, what an awesome collection!
The Patek World Time 5110 should require a programmable winder that gives at least 800 Turns Per Day in the Counter Clockwise Direction.
The Breguet Perpetual, as you call it,
could be any number of watches and either needs a programmable winder for at least 500 turns Clockwise
or
about 700 Turns in both directions,
depends on the caliber movement of your actual watch.
The Hublot Big Bang (one nice watch series!)
requires anything from Clockwise to Counter Clockwise to Both Directional turning
and from a low of 500 to a high of 900 Turns depending on which watch you have.
They make a huge variety of different watches with that name.
Very nice series very different movements in many.
And finally for your Alange & Soehne.
I have no information at all!
However probably it requires CW 800 TPD.(just an educated guess, but trial and error will not harm the watch, but the important thing is a winder that is programmable for directions.)
Four Winders tend to be by their nature expensive and fancy, so I can not recommend anything not so. Few people can afford 4 automatics and so their is no price pressure to make cheap 4 watch winders.
The cheaper winders on the market likely will not wind your expensive collection and may well do it harm since inexpensive winders tend to never stop.
You need a modern programmable winder that turns on and off and is off most of the time. It also needs to be of changing directions, the turns per day
could be fixed as high as 1,000 and not cause any problems, but I would go for programmable turns in addition to directional programmability.
My first pick for that amazing collection is the Buben and Zorweg Safemaster Winder.
URL is below:
http://www.watchcases.com/buben-zorweg-safe-master.html

If the Buben is too much money for you a little company called Rotolution makes a winder that can be set
as low as 500 turns which is perfect for your Breguet Perpetual.
URL is below:
http://www.watchcases.com/rotolution-watch-winder.html

Finally Wolf Designs makes a winder that will do a nice job for you. Maybe the best choice for price and progammability.

I'm looking for something that is easy to use.
Thanks,
John

It's difficult to find the winding requirements for vintage watches, so we recommend a fully programmable winder that can wind any watch. If you go with the Viceroy winder by Wolf Designs, you can easily try different settings to see which one works.
(Note: Viceroy is the critical part, Wolf makes other winders which will not work for this watch and though they are programmable do not offer the range of settings needed.)

You'll want to start with a setting of 650 turns bi-directional (half in one direction half in the other.) This is the setting for modern Seamasters. If your watch is a chronograph, you'll want to start with 800 turns clockwise.

Best Winder for the Vintage Omega Seamaster is the Wolf Viceroy Watch Winder

http://www.watchcases.com/leather-watch-winder-by-wolf.html

Another Option is an Orbita Monaco Winder, though not as easily programmed it is a better winder overall.

Thanks for your question.Watch Cases Watch Winders Review Guruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17033181330000817180noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620870969008528374.post-90331305202113596442011-05-12T13:15:00.000-04:002011-05-13T16:41:42.660-04:00"What are Eilux doing with their reputation?"Subject: German Internet users Question:

Date: Wed, 11 May 2011 10:02:24 -0700 (PDT)
email: tel:
message: Having read your positive review of Eilux winders, I'm wondering if you know of the EW1466BK model available in Europe? (It looks like your EW1-1466 with plastic case and gray silver color.) The quality is not good; rough running with noise and vibration. The one I've seen slows down for part of the revolution and then speeds up again. A dealer in Germany says this is typical of that model. What are Eilux doing with their reputation? Have you seen a de-spec of their stuff recently? Please let me know, Drew.

Answer
Drew,

I can not speak to the issue of a product we do not sell. (The European EW1466BK.)
All I know is we have sold the <a href="http://www.watchcases.com/sicuwiduco.html"target=_blank>1466 eilux winder model which you mention for years now
and have had very good success and very few requests for service
of any type. I had a <a href="http://www.watchcases.com/sicuwiduco.html"target=_blank> 1466 Eilux Single Winder running in my office on my desk for years with
no problems at all, no noise no "shuttering"... Warranty or Service requests are extremely
rare across the entire Eilux range in fact I do not recall the last such request it
has been so long ago. The Eilux products we sell are a strong dependable product.

Winders are mechanical devices and so sometimes they fail, I would suggest your friend
get his serviced. I have no idea who services Eilux in Germany.
Eilux has a solid reputation in my book and I suggest you contact Eilux
and discuss their European distribution system with them directly.

It sounds to me like the one you saw has a defective motor which is easily
repaired or replaced. This is typical of situation where surge protectors
are not used. Plus as you know German electricity is a wallopping 220-240 volts
compared to USA 120 Volts and this might present a special challenge for any
small electrical motors.

Again, we do not really deal with the German market
and do not know what the situation is but Eilux is a strong product here
in the US. Best of all here in the US if purchased from an Authorized
retailer your winder can be serviced easily and rather inexpensively.

Good luck with your German friend and thanks for the note.
Have a great day.
Sincerely,

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 226px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdjXavSAE9O6qygY7PePm9UICewpD8XiIYHD7S-vOvOTbGImgdqe4nBVk60gVphQDhUEVJ6zIyETXuJJ2Kg9GeUMQJ-6LC26-GKhuhF-SrZeEev8LgstJ70dKw4Qf-yoFqWWRLwuGZc3U/s400/Eilux+Cube+black+watchcases_2085_469004.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5605882426702416754" />

The Cubic Eilux 1466 Series, a strong dependable inexepensive watch winder. This is because most Panerai watches only wind in one direction. Because the Sparta winders rock the watch back and forth, half the movement of the winder is wasted on a Panerai.

Until recently, this meant that there was no winder with the 5 year lithium batteries for Panerai owners. Orbita's new product, the Mirage, uses the same 5 year batteries as the Sparta and houses them in a fully programmable winder. This new winder is, in our opinion, the best winder for a Panerai.

You should order one here.Watch Cases Watch Winders Review Guruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17033181330000817180noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620870969008528374.post-13820233172570630102011-04-20T12:44:00.004-04:002011-04-20T15:27:05.079-04:00New Eye Glasses Case Just arrived!<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 296px; height: 391px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiDYNHuxNWXZeboxbWr5kmsO614WwSDRO-PoAscyJCyMnFlhWd70SvI_Hub6kfv20w2U6dLJrpml1sfJSoJ-V413r7y0prQjEyfjxgbqWQFApsHMtogfJupPZUneWuxfQC7p4trX8VdXQ/s400/watchcases_2151_16621618.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5597749405516227634" />
Do you or someone you care about collect eye wear?
Good!
We have a unique gift idea solution for you.
The watchcases.com exclusive custom made Eye Glasses Case for holding up to 6 pair of
eye wear. Well now that has changed!

Wolf Designs newest Winder. The Viceroy Watch Winder Module 2.7. Is truly a hit!
They finally are on the right track! Aside from the Orbita Easy Winder or Avanti series
the Viceroy is the easiest to use programmable watch winder on the market today!

The LCD display tells you everything you need to know. Arrows show the direction of the rotation and the Turns Per Day is clearly shown and you can increase it in 50 turn increments. This allows even the most demanding watch to be wound. No long hours of research and no complicated toggles and switches to change and fuss with. Just turn it up to the highest turns and gradually over a few days turn down the turns per day till the watch stops keeping time. Now you know the minimum Turns Per Day required for your watch and you can therefore wind it without risk of over winding or even stressing the mainspring.

The new Module 2.7 is reasonably quiet when the unit is closed and you can use delay start if noise is ever an issue. I commend Wolf Designs on getting it right with the Vicerory Module 2.7 series and encourage customers seeking a mid level winder to consider Wolf Designs!Watch Cases Watch Winders Review Guruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17033181330000817180noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620870969008528374.post-55846499422120265582009-07-09T18:45:00.002-04:002009-07-09T18:45:00.821-04:00Which Winder for Rolex Date Just?--- orders@store.yahoo.com wrote:

From: Jamal Qureshi
To: watchcases.com
Subject: Viaweb Form Submission

Date: Sun, 21 Jun 2009 04:09:31 -0700 (PDT)

formSubAttempted: yes
User_Name: Qureshi

Message: I have two Rolex watches. I currently have an Underwood Roto Box (single) and have been rotating the watches on same as I wear one. I am in need of a 3 or 4 position winder and note the Orbita Siena 3 and Monaco 3 on your website. What are the pluses/minuses of each, including price?

I admit that the extra storage on the Monaco is attractive to me as I have several manual winds, as well.

Also, what, if any, difference is there between the <a href="http://www.watchcases.com/si3wiinblla1.html"target=blank>Orbita Siena 3 Winder and the Siena 3 Best Breitling?

A further consideration is that I have small wrists (and therefore a small strap on each watch). Is sizing an issue for the winders?

I also have a buckle latch on many, but not all, of my watches. Is this of any concern?
Thanks,
Jim

Answer:

As far as the winders, both the Monaco and Siena will wind all of your collection. (for the manual wind watches look at the Orbita Sempre Winder.) I think you already noted the differences the more expensive winder has the extra storage space. The style is different and that is a matter of taste. Both are a good choice.

Now the harder question:
Wrist size and buckles.

<a href="http://www.watchcases.com/orbita.html"target=blank>Orbita is one of the few watch winder companies that makes different sized watch pillows for their watch winders. If you purchase from WatchCases.com we can pre-order or post order a small wrist pillow for you at no charge. (A $45 per pillow value.)

Buckles are always a problem, only way to know is to try. Most fit into the Orbita system, but trial by fire is the only way to know for sure that is why we offer a money back guarantee if your winder does not work for you.Watch Cases Watch Winders Review Guruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17033181330000817180noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620870969008528374.post-59883755078750579402009-06-20T12:13:00.002-04:002009-06-20T12:13:00.854-04:00Eilux Stainless Steele watchwinder will work for a Tag Link watch? To: service@ watchcases.com
From: Anne in CA

Subject: Question about Item EV/EW-1466SS/w1
http://www.watchcases.com/watch-winder-eilux-ss.html
Date: Sat 01/03/09 08:35 PM

Can you tell me if this Item EV/EW-1466SS/w1 <a href="http://www.watchcases.com/watch-winder-eilux-ss.html"target=blank>Eilux Stainless Steele watch winder will work for a Tag Link watch?

We purchased a different watch winder from a different site that we had to send back since the modes available on the watch winder would not keep the watch wound.
Thanks, Anne

Answer:

You did not tell me which Tag Watch you own. They use a number of different movements which require different winding settings.

However the Eilux Watch Winder you asked about is a good choice. It is a sturdy high quality reliable and quiet watch winder that can handle a heavy watch like your Tag. Cheap winders will not do the job, the price is tempting, but it is just a waste of your time as you found out!

To find the <a href="http://www.watchcases.com/faq-pro.html#q6_2"target=blank> watch winder requirements for your Tag Heur watch click here and look it up. You should also consider an Orbita Watch Winder. Both are a good choice and good value for your money and neither will waste your time.Watch Cases Watch Winders Review Guruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17033181330000817180noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620870969008528374.post-28196376788782659982009-06-19T14:42:00.002-04:002009-06-19T15:29:33.244-04:00Not enough time in the day?
