Can you turn the Wolf 8 Winder on its side?

Can this item (The Wolf Designs 8 WatchWinder) stand on the short end instead of on the long side without affecting the functionality?

Answer:

No, this watchwinder is designed to wind in the upright position shown. Very few watchwinders are flexible enough to be turned on their side and still wind the watch properly.
