Question:

How much watch storage is enough? Do I buy a watch case for what I need now or I may need later?

Answer:

These are two question we hear on a regular basis from customers. The answers are as individual as our customers are! If you feel that the six watches you have now --the one your grandmother gave on high school graduation (love you grandma, but I really wanted the i pod), the one you received when you were in your best friends wedding (got to keep it since their wedding date is engraved on the one side), the sporty watch you wear on the weekends, the watch you wear to work most days, and the dress watch you wear when you dress to impress. But you may have an anniversary coming soon and there just may be another watch...

Times like these call for a Wolf Designs watch box. This time I would recommend the Black Leather 10 Watch Display - Storage Case with extra storage in a bottom drawer.

We are very excited about our new beautiful Wood Watch Box made in America and Earth Friendly! The finish is so good, you could not tell that this all wood box is made from recycled wood pieces. A real Glass Viewing top allows you see at a glance your watch collection. The small corner inlaid pieces on the top of the wood box surrounds your watches in a frame of wooden beauty.

We have a lot of requests for American Made and for solid wood products. Many of our customers ultimately understand this raises the price because the combination of solid wood and American Craftsman make the wooden watch box expensive. This wooden watch box was designed with a high clearance and large pillows to hold both large watches and standard watches with ease. http://www.watchcases.com/wood-watch-box-american-made.html

We are proud of this wooden watch case and hope you tell your friends about it!

Question:

How do I get return authorization for a watch case I bought 45 days ago?
Has the 30 Day Guarantee expired?

Answer:

We can not issue an RMA nor will we accept an item that you purchased 45 days ago. Our return window is within 30 days.

We have a 30 day return window. We will accept items returned within the 30 day window. So you have 30 days from the day you place your order with us counting that day as day 1 to get the item back to our warehouse. so if you purchased 45 or even 31 days ago our standard return window has expired.

Our Guarantee Period is typically 30days from the order date, but Not 30 days from the delivery date. Our guarantee is 30 days from the order date, please understand our return window.

Since we are Retail Authorized Dealers - Any Manufacturers Warranty applies at 30 days for winders and you will have to deal with the manufacturer directly after 30 days. Prior to 30 days a defective item will be exchanged or repaired as determined by the manufacturer, refunds will not be given, and shipping costs will not be refunded.

We try to state in our confirmation emails, on our web site, as many places as possible that "ALL SALES FINAL AT 30 DAYS FROM THE ORDER DATE." All returns must be requested via email no later than 21 days after your order was placed in order to allow for time in transit. We must receive the item just like at any local store, you must show up before their return window expires. Calling them and returning the item later does not extend your return for refund window.

We regret any inconvenience.

Customer Service

Question:

My son has a small collection (5/6) watches. I am interested in buying him a display box and a winder. Do I need more than one winder...
one for each watch? Thanks

Answer:

Dear Elaine:

If your son is enough of a collector to want a watch winder, he may want to start with a dual watch winder with storage. http://www.watchcases.com/eiluxwinders3.html

If he's rotates by wearing more than three of his watches in the same month, you should consider a triple watch winder with storage. One on his wrist and three on the winder ready for him to use!
http://www.watchcases.com/eilux-3-watch-winder-5-storage-case.html

Or buy a single-watch unit for starters and plan on adding a multi-watch unit later. http://www.watchcases.com/eiluxwinders1.html

and pair it with a quality watch display case for storage purposes only. http://www.watchcases.com/eilux6-watchcase-leather.html

If you have any questions on these suggestions, please feel free to contact me between 10 and 4 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday.

Question:

Do you service Rapport winders? I have one, not old and one motor is not working properly. I hate to send it to London.

Answer:

Thank you for your inquiry! I searched our records for a sale of a watch winder to you and cannot find you as one of our customers. Perhaps it was under another name and we would need this information to find the type of winder and the date of purchase.

Since your winder is not likely to be under warranty, I suggest that you take a look at some of our watch winders. You may wish to consider these alternatives if the repairs prove to be the cost of a replacement.

Eilux/Everwell 2 Watch Winders-The Winder is available in genuine Black Leather. 2 individually programmable winding heads. Dual Powered: A/C adapter or Batteries. It is extremely Quiet!
http://www.watchcases.com/eilux-2-watch-automatic-watch-winder.html

Or you may wish to consider the Sparta Single Deluxe Winder Box in Mahogany. It is a Battery Powered Winder in a beautiful Wooden Winder in a rich Mahogany. Battery life is 2 years and is also available in a Double Winder. It carries Orbita's 2 year warranty! http://www.watchcases.com/orsp1decama.html

To locate someone to repair your winder, you will need the exact model and it would be helpful if you can identify where and when you purchased your winder. If it was with us, in any case we are happy to help.

Joyce

Question:

I received a Sharper Image winder for a birthday present. Apparently my Rolex watch is too heavy for the winder because it knocks when swinging on one direction. After reading your literature, I'm interested in the Sparta Orbita (OR/W05103/W1).
Is this a good choice for the Rolex?
Will the watch be enclosed?
What are the dimensions of the Sparta 1 winder?

Answer:

Harold,

Thank you for your inquiry about Orbita's Sparta Single Open Winder for your Rolex watch! The Orbita Sparta Single Watch Winder is a wonderful watchwinder for a Rolex. Some of the Highlights are: http://www.watchcases.com/sp1blwawi.html
* Easiest WatchWinder to use on the market.
* Longest battery Life at 2 years!
* Winds every automatic Rolex watch!
* Whisper Quiet Technology
* American Made
* 2 year Orbita warranty.
* 5.5H x 5.5W x 7.5D

The watch to be wound is easily mounted over a resilient foam cushion, which accommodates virtually any size watch with either leather strap or metal bracelet. The cushion fits snugly into the drive cup, making it impossible for the watch to fall as the cup swings back and forth during the winding cycle. The watch winder is open (no cover) and the cup is easily removed to facilitate watch mounting.

We look forward to your on line order and if you have any further questions, please contact Customer Service, Monday through Friday, between 10 and 4 Eastern.

Question:

Hi. 3 questions.
I have 3 automatic watches and I've been wearing them on a
rotating basis to keep them all running. One of them is an Oris
William F1 Team Chronograph, which is the heaviest of the 3.
A) Can the Orbita Sparta winder handle it because I am sure that its as
heavy as a Panerai?
B) Partly relating to the above question. Which would you recommend,
the Orbita Sparta 2 watch winder or the Eilux triple watch winder
(the one that is discontinued)?
C) Lastly, is the Sparta also AC powered, or just battery powered?

Thanks

Answer:

Thank your for your inquiry about our watch winders! Here are our
recommendations based on the information that you provided.

The best we can determine is that the watch is an Oris F1 Team PVD
Chronograph which needs to be wound Clock wise (CW) for around
800 Turns Per Day (TPD).

A) Can the Orbita Sparta handle a Oris William F1 Team
Chronograph because I am sure that its as heavy as a Panerai?

As for weight and size, the Sparta may have trouble with this watch.
Therefore your best option for winding all 3 watches would be to get
the Sparta Double Mahogany for the other two watches.
http://www.watchcases.com/spartaorbita.html
Why? No fiddling with winding settings just pop on and off as needed.

B) Which would you recommend, the Orbita Sparta 2 watch winder
or the Eilux triple watch winder (the one that is discontinued)?

The other option is to get the Eilux triple. You will have to play with
the winder settings, but once you figure them out for each watch just
put the watch back in the same place each time!
http://www.watchcases.com/trboxauwawib.html

C) Is the Sparta also AC powered, or just battery powered?

The Sparta is only battery operated, but because of the patented
design the battery is guaranteed to last for 2 years! So battery
replacement is not the issue it is with other winders. If you choose
to get the Sparta 2 Deluxe winder, you can then get a Eilux Cubic
Winder with the adapter for the heavier watch
http://www.watchcases.com/wiculbyevwi.html
or to get the Boxed Eilux Winder.
http://www.watchcases.com/eiluxwinders1.html

We look forward to receiving your on line order or if you have
further questions, please contact us Monday through Friday

Question:

Am considering a Sparta Executive Double for my two Omega Speedmaster automatics, but wonder if it will wind them adequately: it sounds as if the Sparta has less adjustability than the other Orbitas.

Answer:

Thank your for your inquiry. Depending on which two models of Omega
Speedmaster watches you have, they need to be wound either
Clock wise (CW) or in Both Directions (BD) from between 600 and
800 Turns Per Day (TPD).

The Oribta Sparta Executive 2 Watch Winder has a resilient foam cushion,
http://www.watchcases.com/spartaorbita.html which accommodates virtually any size watch with either leather strap or metal bracelet. It does not
have the same programmability as the ...

The Orbita Monaco 2 Watch Winder that includes a storage drawer and
digital Atomic Clock. http://www.watchcases.com/orbitamonaco.html
Each ball bearing equipped winding head is independently powered and
controlled so that the winding cycle for each watch can be optimized.
This allows flexibility for any future watches winding/turning needs
for you may add to your valuable two watches.

Follow-up Question:

Donald,

Thanks for the response. I was unable to locate any specific
information on winding the watches in the Panerai manual, and will
write the company and copy you on their responses. So far, they have
seemed very helpful. There is a Official Panerai shop here in Beverly
Hills where I purchased my watches, but they were unable to answer my
questions about winders in general initially.

I have two Panerai and one on order:

Radiomir GMT/Alarm PAM00098- Movement is 31 jewels, monometallic
Glucydur balance with Nivarox I spring (whatever that means), 28,800
alternations/hour Incabloc anti-shock device, with a 47 hour reserve.

Luminor Marina PAM00104- OP III Calibre, with 42 hr. reserve

Luminor 1950 Rattrapante PAM00213- OP XVIII calibre

I'll email them in the morning an let you know what their reply is,

Thanks again for the help, I should receive my Orbita watch winder in the next few days (shipped today),

Best Regards,

Bill P.

Answer:

Dear Bill,

Hello this is Joyce. Donald had me check the data bases for your watches and I have listed the directions and Turns Per Day (TPD) recommended for your watches. However, please note that chances are good that if you set the winder Clock Wise (CW) or Bidirectional (both) it will work.

Radiomir GMT/Alarm PAM00098 - Base GP or Caliber OP VII 28,800 alternations/hour with a 47 hour reserve. 44mm.
RECOMMENDED Bi-directional at 650 TPD.

Luminor Marina PAM00104 - OP III Calibre, with 42 hr. reserve 44mm
RECOMMENDED Clock Wise (CW) 800 TPD

Luminor 1950 Rattrapante PAM00213- OP XVIII caliber 44mm
The data base only had TBD (To Be Determined).
Perhaps Panerai will have further information to share with you. Therefore Donald indicated to try Both at a high TPD setting and see how that fairs with winding the watch if it works great and but if it fails try 800 CW.

Please be assured that this will not damage the watch (with a trial/error) it will either wind or gradually stop. If you do get a reply from Panerai, please remember to send the information to us.

Thank you for shopping with watchcases.com!

Sincerely,
Joyce

User_Name: Bill P.

Original Question:

You just shipped a Orbita Monaco watch winder to me and I was hoping you could give me the 2 or 3 questions I should ask Panerai to ensure I set my watch winders correctly for that make of watch.

Regards,
Bill P.

Original Answer:

Bill,

Reply in this email (hit "reply to all" so my customer service gets it too) with the model name and number of your Panerai, should be something like Panerai, Caliber OP III or some other Roman #.

You need to ask them (or read in manual)
1. How many hand turns of the winding stem for watch to be fully wound?
2. What direction does your caliber watch wind in? Clock Wise, Counter clockwise or Both directions?
3. What is the minimum TPD? Minimum Turns Per Day needed to keep watch wound?

You should regularly hand wind the watch, even when using the winder it is not a bad idea at least weekly, but before you put it on the winder you should hand wind it to at least 50-80% of capacity.

I love Panerai watches, I was just looking at one last night in fact, but passed on the purchase. I do not as of yet own one, but I do admire them!

"turns per day"

Chances are the watch requires 1 of 2 settings, either Bi-Directional both directions at 650 TPD or Clockwise winding and 800 minimum TPD "turns per day" to stay wound.

What Caliber is your Panerai? Roman numerals Caliber OP III, through Caliber XIX?
If you tell us we may be able to find the correct setting before you get a reply from Panerai.

Do tell us the answers you are given by Panerai, if any, and if you have time or inclination send us a picture of your watch on the winder!

You made a wise choice in the Orbita Monaco watch winder, I know it was expensive, but this watch needs a good winder!

Question:

I have a Cartier Tank, with a deployment buckle will it fit inside a watch case?

Shawn

Answer:

Thank you for your on line inquiry about a watch case for your
Cartier Tank watch. If your watch band is 7.5" or less in length,
the Venlo Biella Watch Case holds flat bands. If the deployment buckle
should not be not higher that the depth of the two watch bands flat
one on top of the other together to fit in this travel case.
http://www.watchcases.com/ve-10311-w-c2.html

However, if the watch band when laid flat is higher than that or
if your watch has a deployant band, it will need the larger Venlo watch cases
that most definitely will store the larger watches with deployant watch bands:

Siena 4 case by Venlo
http://www.watchcases.com/si4waho.html

Capri 8 case by Venlo

"I bought my wife a pre-owned rolex at a very reputable Houston store, it is a nice watch but when she takes it off after work, it always stops during the night. In your opinion is the watch defective? I want to buy a watch winder but after reading all your info I am worried." Art Spanjer

Art,
Good question, only a reputable repairman could give you that answer, behavior is no indicator.
Why?

It is rare that a legitimate bricks and mortar jeweler would cheat someone.
Charge too much?
Not unheard of, but fraud is rare.

Well Automatic Watches are wound via wrist movement and people differ greatly in the amount they move and fidget. Some people, women especially, tend to not move wrist violently enough to allow the watch to build up a reserve of power.

It is the reserve of power which keeps it ticking when not worn.
A simple tip is when she removes it at night she should shake it for a good 30 seconds. Shake it firmly, but not vilently, sort of like you would shake down a thermometer, or maybe shake a mixed drink if you were not in an excited mood. In other words it needs sudden movement with sudden stop, but not so hard the watch sails out of her hand. Or she can just shake her wrist back and forth for 30 seconds before removing it.

This problem is why people part with $2-$300 for a winder. Spending any less will get a winder that does not work. If the cheap winders worked I would sell them, money is money.....

Any of the winders I sell will work for your rolex.
I would tell you to get either an Orbita Sparta open winder, $199.00 (code starts with an OR for Orbita)
another option at low end of price range is an everwell cylinder winder $140, go to single winders click "view all" then scroll to near the bottom you will see them, the code starts with an EW.

The winders being sold online and on television for less are not worth the money, they break and they do not wind the watch. A watch winder is more sophisticated than a drill with a watch on the end of it. The rotor must be at a 35 - 45 degree slant, with rather violent stops (recall my shake wrist description.) These stops wind the watch and these same stops break the winders internal parts...simple physics.

Your watch is probably fine.
You wife probably is not real violent and a simple winder will probably do the trick.

A used Rolex is a better bet than a used Mercedes!

If money is no object get the Orbita Bellino Winder in leather.

Now, in terms of a used winder, do not, I repeat, do not ever buy a used winder! They look fine, but are not easy to repair because of a lack of spare parts and people only try to sell them when they are broken.

I have a ton of customers who purchased a winder from one of those "cheap winder" companies only to end up buying one from me 30 days later!

Question:

Hello,

I just purchased an IWC 5001 Portugeuse watch. It is 42.5-ish mm
in diameter and weights 95g. You reference in your Orbita notes
that certain large/heavy watches won't work well (e.g. Bellino and
Orbita Compact Sparta). Is my IWC too large for these? What is
considered too large (diameter and weight)?? Thanks.

Weinstein

Answer:

Thank you for your inquiry about the best Orbita winder for your
IWC 5001 Portugeuse watch! Our recommendations for your luxury automatic watch with (we assume) a leather strap and the IWC seven day power reserve are as follows:

Bellino Orbita Winder http://www.watchcases.com/beblle.html
The Bellino winder fits in your hand yet is fully programmable.
The perfect size for traveling or for vault storage and accommodates
watches up to 45mm and under 100g.

Siena 1 Winder
http://www.watchcases.com/orbita-watch-winder-siena-1.html
If your collection includes various high end heavy and large chronograph
and diver's watches--this is the single winder for you. User-programmable
control allows head direction and turns per day (TPD) to be optimized for
the watch being wound.

Please feel free to call me between 10 and 4 Eastern, Monday through
Friday for any further questions or recommendations.

Question:

I'm looking for a very very very quiet 6 watch winder. I am a
very lite sleeper, but would like to keep a winder in the bedroom.
Any suggestions?

Answer:

Thank you for your inquiry about a quiet six watch winder.
Unlike some of the competition, we do not claim that our
winders are specially designed so they can be placed in a
bedroom. All winders make some type of hum-from the very
soft to very noisy. A quality winder with high grade
independent motors and well made cases will emit very little
sound.

Both the Orbita watch winders and Eilux brand watch winders
are very reliable and are recognized as two of the best watch
winder brands on the market.

Our suggestion is the Orbita Monaco 6 Watch Winder by Orbita
http://www.watchcases.com/6wawi.html
The Monaco 6 Watch Winder features 6 Independently powered and controlled winder heads which allow you to precisely set your winder to optimize each and every watch! We currently have them in stock.

The Eilux 6 watch winder allows you to remove each winder box so
you can even use one as a travel winder!

We look forward to receiving your on line order, or if you have
any further questions please contact me between 10 and 4 Eastern,
Monday through Friday.

Joyce

Question:

I recently received a automatic Baume & Mercier watch with an ERS winder.
I noticed on your site you say that you do NOT carry their brand.
Will this brand harm my watch? I recently got out of the military and
can't quite afford the big boys yet so any assistance you can offer
would be greatly appreciated. Thx!

Answer:

Thank you for your email inquiry and follow up telephone call today.
I enjoyed speaking with you and have a few follow up thoughts to share.

While the price of the winder you mentioned is low, the look is decent,
the product simply does not meet our customer's or our standards. Making a box
is one thing, making a mechanical/electrical device is another thing!

We are a retailer and if we felt good about the product, we would offer
it for sale.
The price seems to be the redeeming feature in our customers'
opinion, and that simply is not enough for us to offer the product for sale.

Here is a direct link to their site, this should say more than we can.
(ERS's Hong Kong URL for watch winders is here, this is their site not a
retailer or paid testimonial hyping them...)

http://www.ers.com.hk/woodautowinder.htm

...here is the official URL to check their claim....www.uspto.gov

Thanks for the note and call. If you ever want to buy a quality winder

Have a great day.

Question

I am interested in ordering one of your watch winders for my husband. His watch is a Maurice Lacroix (Swiss made watch). I am considering the following:

Bellino Orbita
Sparta 1 Deluxe
Ticino Orbita

I am looking for something that would be good to use at home and also easy to travel with. Are all these good for a man's watch? What do you see as the main differences between these and which would you recommend?
Thank you for your advice.

Sincerely,
S. Scott

Answer:

Dear Ms. Scott:

Thank you for your inquiry requesting an Orbita winder recommendation
for your Maurice Lacroix watch. Whether he has the Masterpiece,
Pontos, or one of the other fine Swiss watches, an Orbita winder
is an excellent choice for either a men's or women's watch.

If you wish to have a winder that travel with him, please consider
either the Voyager Travel Winder: http://www.watchcases.com/travelwinder.html
The Voyager is a programmable travel winder with two components.

An alternate choice from you inquiry list is the Orbita Bellino
Watch Winder in Black Leather: http://www.watchcases.com/beblle.html
The Bellino in durable black leather is a fully programmable watch
winder and great for travel or safe storage.

We look forward to receiving your on line order, or if you have any
further questions, please contact me between 10-4 Eastern, Monday through Friday.

Considering a Sparta Executive Double for my two Omega Speedmaster automatics, but wonder if it will wind them adequately: it sounds as if the Sparta has less adjustable than the other Orbita Winder models.

Answer:
Byers,

Thank your for your inquiry. Depending on which two model Omega
Speedmaster watches you have, they need to be wound either
Clock wise (CW) or in Both Directions (BD) from between 600 and
800 Turns Per Day (TPD).

The Orbita Sparta Executive 2 Watch Winder has a resilient foam cushion,
http://www.watchcases.com/spartaorbita.html
which accommodates virtually
any size watch with either leather strap or metal bracelet. It does not
have the same programmability as the Orbita Monaco 2 Watch Winder which includes a storage drawer and digital Atomic Clock. http://www.watchcases.com/orbitamonaco.html
Each ball bearing equipped winding head is independently powered and
controlled so that the winding cycle for each watch can be optimized.
This allows flexibility for any future watches winding/turning needs
for you may add to your valuable two watches.

On your watchwinder FAQ, you make a point of mentioning several times that you do not carry ERS winders. I have read many positive reviews of ERS winders on other sites, and was curious about your specific criticisms of this brand compared to those that you carry. Thank you for your assistance.

Brian,

We evaluated them and found such claims simply did not hold water.
We get a lot of inquiries and so we write over and over we do not carry these products. Still I think price makes people feel they have to ask....

I notice the positive reviews are on the websites selling the products.

The price is low, the look is decent, the product simply does not meet our standards. Making a box is one thing, making a mechanical/electrical device is another thing!

We are a retailer, we really do not care whose products we sell (provided they have a legal claim to make and sell the product). If we felt good about the product we would offer it for sale, at this time we are not impressed. The price is the only redeeming feature in my opinion, and that simply is not enough for me to offer the product for sale.

Here is a direct link to their site, this should say more than I can.
(ERS URL for watch winders is here, this is their site not a retailer or paid testimonial hyping them...)

http://www.ers.com.hk/woodautowinder.htm

They have a bold red claim on the home page, which is ridiculous, how can one copyright a product? Forgiving them for a minute for a misuse of language, (heck, my Chinese certainly is not nearly as good as their English!;-)

...here is the official URL to check their claim....www.uspto.gov

....Orbita and Eilux/Everwell have real US and worldwide claims....for my money Orbita and Eilux are the only 2 winders one should consider if you are looking for a product that will last a long time and do the job intended.

I looked at your company's site, ANADIGICS, seems you all sell a high quality product that hope fully will not be so blatantly copied and abused by some fly by night manufacturer.....

I read the article....
"ANADIGICS Raises the Bar with HELP2™ "
Hmmm, Impressive!
....what more can I say?...

I am a former Algebra teacher. I have not been a retailer my entire life, and maybe I should let the market decide on price alone.

I just do not buy that philosophy. In the 3 years we have been selling winders online I can not begin to tell you the number of clients who said they made the mistake of buying the other product first...granted there maybe hundreds of satisfied customers,(I would never hear from them) but I doubt it, the winder market is not that large. (it is tiny actually)

I know I did not give you the blow by blow this is what is wrong....that is not my style...if you decide to by one of our winders use the coupon "WC105" and you will save 5% on the purchase.

If you choose to buy another product, that is OK too. Thanks for the note and have a great day.

I notice that more than a few times you state:
Note: We do not carry Steinhausen Watch Winders and we do not carry ERS watch winders. My question is, why not? I do not see the reason why on your site. Please explain. I will admit that I am quite curious, since the prices of Steinhausen are reasonable.

Dear Mr. Alexander,

Thank you for your inquiry about the types of winders we recommend
on our web site. Watchcases.com attempts to answer frequently asked
questions on our web site to save on answering telephone calls and
emails about such issues. We are often asked questions about winders
both those we carry and those brands we do not carry.

Watchcases.com carries winders with a proven record of high quality
performance. We do not carry products because of their price-whether
higher or lower-but because of their dependability. We therefore
have written that we do not carry the products you mentioned.

The key to a quality winder is the mechanism on the inside, not the
exterior. We often hear from customers who have purchased other brands
which have failed. People with products that work only contact us
to buy another as a gift since they are so pleased with their purchase.

We carry (and therefore are distributors of)the following brands:

Buben and Zorweg
Orbita
Everwell
Eilux
Wolf Designs
Ragar
Venlo

We have evaluated many watchwinders and chosen not to offer some winders
because of the pricing structure or poor quality. High End winders sell
slowly and therefore we do not carry some excellent though expensive
winders, Bergeon, Scatola Del Tempo and Underwood are high end winders
we do not carry. There are numerous other low end products that tend to
be unreliable with poor customer service and repair and if we do not
carry them we of course are not distributors of their products.

Donald

Today I received a call asking me this very question. The answer is no it will not.
Orbita makes a completely soft watchwinder watch pillow.
http://www.watchcases.com/orbita-watch-winders--watch-pillow-with-rolex-watch.html

Your watch band will be fine.
Before you purchase your winder make sure you have the correct measurements of your watch band. Once you have that read the instructions for winding your watch it should be in your watches case or box whatever it came in when you purchased your watch then you should be able to buy the correct item for your watch.
Your watch instruction manual should tell you the (TPD) requirements. I know it may seem tedious but most companies will tell you these things
if you just read more than the first page of the instruction manual finding and buying the correct watch winder. I hope this helps.

Until next time

You know the saying old money verses new money old money always wins.
Well that is not entirely true. Now if you have inherited a first series
Rolex like a 1957 Rolex and you are broke beyond belief. You have a lot of money on your wrist. So if you went on a job interview and wore this watch the person interviewing you may notice and treat you a little different.
Be it good or bad. Watches speak volumes. The year and make of the watch and who designed it. There are watch shows were people won't even talk to you unless you have a watch that you spent a grip on. (grip means money) And then there are those people who don't wear their watches they lend them out.
To museums award shows and television events. These are your serious collectors. So social standing is part of every world.

Sad we can not all afford that status symbol watch.
But there are some watches made by Breitling, Rolex, Tag and Omega
that look like a million dollars but fit any one's budget even if you need a payment plan. You will be the only one to know your watch only cost you a $1000 or so. And as the years go buy you can add on to your watch to make it a heirloom for your son daughter cousin or nice and or nephew.

Who knows it may be worth a million one day. And whoever you pass it down to will have a standing of their own.

Until Next time
XOXO

I am in need of an Orbita PN 1049 dual adapter. Is this somethign you carry and if so, please email me your price.

Thanks,

Keith M. San Francisco, CA 94115

Keith,

Seems you are correct. Except they did a redesign.
How old is your winder?
Where is the on/off switch?
Or better can you send a digital picture of the winder on/off switch
being visible.
Why?
Well with the redesign the adapter may not work.
If your winder has the on/off on the top left flat part it will work.
If the on/off is on the sloped part it will not work.

Sorry for all the questions. The new adapter has a different part number.
The cost is $50, plus S&H...I would hate to send it to you and have you
find it does not work and you have to send it back. Shipping charges
can not be refunded, so it would be best if we can figure it out in advance.

Donald,

I have the single watch version of this Orbita winder and want to convert it to the dual watch version. I think PN 1049 converts the single winder version to a dual version and also adds a new "head" that can support two watches.

Am I correct?

Thanks,

keith

Some customers confuse items, so I will ask, you do mean the electrical adapter and not the dual holder adapter? The item # you gave was for the dual electrical adapter, and I assume that is what you mean, but we have had people confuse items. Easy to do with all the random letters and numbers!

We can get the adapter for you. It is not something we actively stock.
It would be a speacial order item and would be non returnable. The cost would be about $30 including ground shipping. Delivery time can not be guaranteed, but depending on where it is shipped to would be within 10 days. It will ship USPS ground only.

If you would like to order the item please email your phone number and I will call you and take your order. (I basically would only need your credit card information over the phone. I think you gave me the delivery information below?) Please do not email credit card information.
Please do not call our order line since it is a special order item they will not be able to help you with the order.

That's right I said it. We are the only distributors of this watch winder. No one else has them not even Orbita. So be careful our competition, well we really do not have any serious competition. Don't let any one tell you different.
Orbita and watchcases.com are like first cousins we communicate everyday.
Go ahead call Joyce she is an Orbita dictionary. And being on a first name basis with the Orbita staff doesn't hurt.

Unlike many watch winder sites we at watchcases.com are hands on. We work with Orbita on designs and we ask the customer for ideas and we relay them to the great staff at Orbita. So far so great. So remember Watchcases.com is the home of Orbita and all their fantastic watch winders and watch cases.

I love April Fools Day!
I actually love fooling around every day, but this is the official holiday for us fools! ha ha....

Today my son and I had an absolute blast, at the expense of his sister and mom, but hey don't let 2 boys home alone for 2 hours on April Fools day....

Especially not if you leave tape in the house.
Yea, we taped the dish washing hose so when you turned on the tap water it would spray you! Oh, and mayonnaise on the towel neatly folded beside the sink, for use to dry off from the taped hose! Now, that was funnier thinking about the reaction than the actual act of using it....but hey the point is to laugh and fool around!

OK, yea we put saran wrap over the toilet seat.

Yes, we put up a restricted parking sign in the garage!

Anyway, life is short, have some fun. Celebrate April Fools Day!
