Do I need to wind my mechanical watch every day?

Answer:
Yes, we think it is a good idea. If done daily it becomes a habit and will be easy to maintain. More importantly we have found the watch tends to give better time keeping if the wearer consistently winds the watch, not only at the same time each day, but the same number of turns each day.

Basically wind it one wind less each day until you notice your watch not keeping accurate time, then move up a winding turn or two. Read the owners manual of course and follow their specific directions over our "rule of thumb" advice however!

Watch Technical Info
Do you need to wind a mechanical watch every day if you don't wear it? The watch will run better if you do. It's best to wind it even if you don't intend to wear it at least once a week. That will prevent the movement's lubricants from congealing.
