The Latin poet Horace once said in his book of Odes, I.v: "simplex munditiis" which translates to "simple in its elegance." Granted, he was talking about some girl's hair, but nothing says sophisticated and elegant like the color black. Just think of it: black tie dinner; women have that "little black dress"; and now keeping up with that ideal, Movado has come out with a simple yet sophisticated watch.
The Open Heart 60th Anniversary Edition, part of the Museum Collection, has a completely black face, with a small opening near the bottom to reveal some gears and the letter "M". The minute and second hands, as well as the dot at the 12 o'clock position and the bezel of the watch are gold.
Movado is known for its

and their black watch faces, but the simple addition of the opening at the bottom of the watch face gives it an extra push over the other watches in the Museum Collection.
The fact that the watch appears to be so simple makes it much more elegant. You can wear this watch if you're dressing up, dressing down, or just want a fun night out. After all, black does go with anything.
Until Next Time,
J.M.
