A Chronograph is basically a special type of watch with additional complications which allow you to time more things than the standard 24 hour day. A mechanical watch with three separate hands, the hour, minute and second hand. Chronographs allow for the control of each of these hands. For example you can start and stop the second hand to time something if you need to and it will have no effect on the watches ability to keep standard time....
