Either watch winder will work for your Rolex Oyster Datejust.

However we do not ship to Australia. We ship only to US addresses or APO and FPO addresses.

Orbita does have an Australian Distributor. Go to www.orbit.net, click Asia and you can find information which may help you in your quest.

Or maybe you have a USA friend who can buy the Watch Winder for you and ship it to you? We can not accept overseas credit cards unless they have a verifiable USA credit card billing address. Having a friend ship it also saves on some tax related issues with imports etc...gifts are not considered generally to be 'international business' transactions and so might be duty and tariff free...(We stress, the words "Might be", we are not sure.)

You know what I'm convinced should make a comeback?
Pocket watches.

Nothing seems more elegant and timely than a pocket watch, and how cool would it be if you pulled that out when someone asked you the time? So I did a little research to find out if this watch trend will ever make a comeback.

To my surprise, the first "pocket" watches did not start out being worn in the pocket: the watches were wore around the neck like a necklace. It wasn't until the 17th century that the change from "neck" watch to pocket watch occurred. They gained popularity with the building and the spread of railroads across America in the 19th century. I would imagine it would be critical to know the arrival and departure time of a train, so it did not crash into another train.

When I think of a pocket watch, however, I don't think of trains and crashes, I think of a refined gentleman, with the chain from his watch peeking out from his coat. And not with an open faced watch, those would be broken too easily. A pocket watch with a hunter case, also referred to as "savonette" for the French gentleman. These are the watches you have to press a button to pop open the case. How classy is that!

Have you ever noticed that models never seem to smile? It's always them pouting and staring off camera, looking as if they are miserable that they are there. That doesn't make sense, because if I got to wear some of the clothing, jewelry and watches they got to wear, I wouldn't be able to stop smiling. Especially if I got to wear watches from Chopard and Cartier.

In the October 2007 edition of hr watches, there was a spread about SoHo watches... or watches people in SoHo wear... or they went to SoHo to take pictures of watches. I really didn't understand the concept of the spread, but what I did understand is that the watches looked incredible. In stark contrast to the sulking models, these watches stood out, bright and eye catching. (Except for the watches the model wore around her neck and in her hair; it was almost a "Where's Waldo?" of watch ads.)

Some watches caught my eye more than others, such as the Serena Garbo watch from Bertolucci.

Its curves seem as if they would fit a woman perfectly, not sliding around but hugging a female wrist. The watch face is surrounded by polished bezel, giving it an adorable feminine pink shine. The watch strap comes in either a lovely chocolate brown leather or a silver steel, giving you perhaps the choice of a watch for the spring and a watch for the fall. I think this watch is a perfect combination of eye catching and classy minus the flashy. Yet the model still looks as if she were about to cry.

I guess I'll never understand high end fashion models.

This article is for those who use AVG for their anti-virus software (also useful if you don't use it but would like to). If you still have version 7.5 of the Free Edition than you have probably been getting a message telling you that you need to upgrade to 8.0.

You may also be wondering if the new version still comes in a free version. Well, it does and here's the link: AVG 8.0 Download

Just click on the link and download and run the software. This will start the installation process of the AVG 8.0 Free Edition anti-virus software. Run through all the defaults in the installation.

It may say something about how you already have an older version of AVG on your computer that needs to first be un-installed. That's OK because if you just keep clicking next and keeping to the defaults during the installation it will actually un-install the old version of AVG for you and then install the new one.

Then it will ask you to restart your computer. I would then go ahead and open AVG and click on the Update tab on the left to update the program. From that point on it should pretty much take care of itself. Hope this is helpful.

Well now that summer is here time to clean house. Yes lets get rid of all those clothes that scream last season. Donate them to the salvation army or a group home for underprivileged children. You know you can donate just about anything.
May I suggest donating to a battered woman's shelter, what may be old to you may be a new lease on life for someone in need.

That is the great thing about old stuff, it's new to some one else. And you feel good about helping. So what do you have people? (Not your rags, but your tired things, things you are tired of, but still have life and vitality!)

An old watch? Don't donate that!
Fix it up and give it to your son or daughter as a gift explain to them the story of the gift and what it means to you.

Yes old things count, they mean so much to people who have so little. Even donating a little time is great as well. Every little bit counts.
So old versus new how do you feel about it? Got any old things that with a little elbow grease would look new. Go look and see.

You might even find new life in an old outfit, you know fashion is always going back and forth. There are no old things just stuff to be reintroduced.

Let me say Deployant clasps are a problem.
I would recommend the Grande 2 watch Case from Venlo.
Please send your phone and best time to call and I can call and talk to you
a bit about any other choices. Deployants are hit and miss no guarantee
anything will work for sure.
Hint:
Your supposed to wear em! ;-) This is what the watch companies say!
The key to this style watch band or buckle storeability is the pillow...but the wrist size and watch size all effect the interplay of fitting in a watch box, so try it out...

You know, I always thought diamonds were a girl's best friend. At least, that's what Marilyn Monroe taught me, and I was a firm believer of it until I noticed that more and more male hip hop artists are wearing them. Diamond necklaces, rings, "pimp cups" (don't ask, I don't get it either), diamond grills (that's something you put over over your teeth) and diamond watches. They say you can judge a person by the type of watch that they wear. In the 1980s, people must have thought the more watches you wore, the more that theory applies to you. Especially if those watches come in day-glow colors.

People always ask which should I go with?
Battery or Electric?

Well with the watch Winders we carry there is no compelling reason for either one. Most Cheap Winders only last a short time, 3 months on batteries if you are lucky! But all the winders we offer are quality watch winders and they will last at least 6 to 8months using standard "flash light batteries".

The best compromise of all is the Orbita Sparta Battery Powered Watch Winder. They guarantee the batteries will last for 2 years in an Orbita Sparta Watch Winder! 2 years! I tell people change the batteries at New Years, and put the old 50% good batteries into your flash light!

Is there any reason or time when one choice is better than the other? Why yes. If you will travel, then batteries will work best, no problems with converters and of course while in transit the winder still can operate.

If you are using a safe without a power source a battery powered winder is a must.
If you are hiding your watches and winders in a closet, of course a battery powered winder is a must. If your bedroom is maxed out on plug space, then a battery powered unit is a must. Do not be afraid of battery life with a quality watch winder.

People feel that AC Adapters, or transformers are the trouble free choice, but if you are in an area of prolonged power outages this certainly is not true. Keep in mind if you fully wind the watch before placing it on the watch winder and the power goes off, your watch will not loose time for 24 to 48 hours, so this is a trivial concern, except if you live in parts of Virginia serviced by Virginia Power. With the ice storms we get in Virginia, some remote areas are without power for days.

Me I hate cords, my office is full of cords, so I prefer the battery powered choice.

Hey all you drivers since the price of gas is so high how about getting focused?(I myself do not drive.) I walk, almost everywhere, work, home, store...But when I get a ride from someone, the people who drive me around are complaining about how high gas is.

Wake up people this is the perfect opportunity to get healthy.
Walk it out.
Yes walking is the oldest easiest exercise there is. It gets the heart pumping and the blood flowing. Your butt gets a work out too.
Ladies have you noticed since your man got that new car he is getting bigger Around the waist)?

Make him walk at least 2 days out of the week.
If we all just walked for a week we would also be helping mother earth. Less cars fresher air, healthier lungs and you will probably see things and do things that you can not do driving by. My favorite thing to do on a nice day is "people watch"...

I also sit with a sign that says if you want to talk I will listen. It's fun and people they just want to be heard. Try it. Leave that car in the garage and go for a walk and trust me you will find gold all around you. It's summer people live outside that box.

G L A M OROUS yes she is flying first class with a new bag collection. Fergilicious has made her mark outside of the black eyed peas.

Even though I was angry did you see her live in NY?
All these little girls were in front as she was grinding and humping the air plus the guitar player she acted like she was giving him, well um it was not decent. And as the camera zoomed in on all the young children they looked so confused.
One little lady looked terrified. Fergie have you lost your mind ? Do you not know little children were in that audience? Did you not care?

Actually she never looked at any of the kids she focused on the men in the audience. As she shook her lady lumps vigorously.

Speed Racer! Wow, a Great family movie!
I never liked the cartoon. But this movie is all about the family.
Family business and the strength it takes to get over hurdles.
Not only in racing do we go off track and out of control this happens in our everyday lives.

This movie is hot. If you are a collector of hot wheels cars
